Bill Maher, the host of "Real Time," swiftly rejected journalists' increasing justifications for Vice President Kamala Harris' loss to President-elect Donald Trump.

Sarah Isgur, an ABC News contributor, claimed during Friday night's "Overtime" segment that Harris was set up to fail by Democrats when she was tasked with running a three-month campaign and introducing herself to the American people.

"Did three months not feel long enough?" Maher inquired. "It was long enough. They didn't have time to introduce themselves, but they met someone and didn't like them."

MSNBC analyst John Heilemann defended Vice President Kamala Harris, stating that she faced a challenging situation as the VP of an unpopular president like Joe Biden.

Heilemann stated that the vice president of the United States was essentially confined in a broom closet for three-and-a-half years.

"She was more popular in there," Maher joked. "Isn't it true that in a mass media age, 107 days is not enough time to get to know someone?"

After a week, Maher questioned his audience about their knowledge of Harris's qualifications to make a decision.

"We just get sicker of them!" exclaimed Maher, "It's ridiculous!"

"What is the point of making so many excuses for her?" Maher questioned. "This week, all we heard were people praising her campaign as 'flawless.' It's laughable. Or they were claiming it was sexism or racism. This is an outdated strategy!"

"I didn't say any of this," Heilemann pushed back.

"Maher stated, "I understand, but I believe America is open to electing a woman. They simply didn't appreciate the previous two candidates presented.""

The HBO host later commented, "She didn't effectively argue her point. She didn't condemn the past actions that were disliked. Instead, she attempted to dismiss them."
