Biden reminded Democrats of what they could have had when he endorsed her despite knowing she couldn't win. It's like when your girlfriend breaks up with you for another guy and then the other guy dumps her. Biden knew she couldn't win when Democrats were trying to wax him, but they didn't listen. So on the way out the door, he endorsed her, and they had to fall in line.
