Biden's "obvious cognitive decline" was the most "underreported" story in 2024, according to a CBS reporter.
According to CBS' Jan Crawford, Biden's advisers "handled his limitations."
In 2024, the most underreported story was President Biden's age, which reached a critical point when members of his own party pressured him to withdraw from the campaign.
"According to Crawford on "Face the Nation," Joe Biden's cognitive decline was evident in a televised debate and is unquestionable."
Some advisers close to the president have been concerned about Biden's health since the early days of his administration, according to reports from The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and other outlets. The White House frequently dismissed questions about his abilities and even called videos that appeared to show Biden confused or out of step "cheap fakes."
"For four years, it has been reported in the Wall Street Journal that his advisers managed his limitations, yet he still insisted on running for president," she said.
"Crawford argued that the added media pressure could have led to a primary for the Democrats, and he should have more forcefully questioned whether the individual was fit for office for another four years."
"Despite her belief that it could have altered the election's outcome, she stated that his advisers claim he regrets dropping out of the race and believes he could have defeated Trump. She believes this to be either delusional or a form of gaslighting."
Biden stated that he felt terrible during the June debate with Trump and expressed that more severe concerns about his cognitive abilities should not have been taken seriously in a post-debate interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC News.
"Biden stated, "I was feeling terrible. In fact, the doctors with me asked if they had done a COVID test because they were trying to determine what was causing my symptoms. They conducted a test to see if I had any infection, specifically a virus. However, I didn't have COVID. I just had a really bad cold.""
The White House declined to comment on Planet Chronicle Digital's request.
