Biden's departure from office leaves Joy Behar feeling nostalgic: "I'll miss him already"
Joy Behar expressed her longing for President Biden on Thursday, just a few days before he is set to depart from office.
"On Thursday, Joy Behar of "The View" expressed her sadness over President Biden's departure from the White House, stating, "I miss him already.""
Behar expressed her longing for Biden, stating that he is a good person who spent the last 50 years caring about the country, in contrast to Trump, who spent the same amount of time scamming people and trying to avoid jail. She emphasized that she knows who she is talking about and felt safe under Biden's leadership, allowing her to live her life without worry.
She expressed concern about the actions of President-elect Donald Trump, stating, "Every day I worry about what he will do next."
On Wednesday, Biden gave a farewell speech that criticized "oligarchs."
In his farewell address, the president cautioned that a "concentration of power among a few ultra-wealthy individuals poses a threat to American society."
He warned the country about the dangers of concentrating too much power in the hands of a few wealthy individuals, who could abuse it if not checked.
The president's speech received high praise from liberal media hosts, who called it one of the "best," "most memorable," and "sober" speeches of his life.
Rachel Maddow on MSNBC emphasized the parts of Biden's speech that addressed the dangers of a tech "oligarchy" and the pressures on the free press, following Meta's announcement to stop fact-checking on its social media platforms.
""I agree with what he said, and it gave me goosebumps," Maddow stated."
On Tuesday, Behar, a prominent Biden supporter and fierce critic of Trump, criticized country music star Carrie Underwood for performing at Trump's inauguration.
Behar questioned how someone could love their country while also supporting and normalizing a convicted felon who wants to destroy it.
Behar stated that she would not advise against performing at Trump's inauguration because she supports free speech, but personally, she would not do it. She added that no one had asked her, but that was a separate matter.
