Before Trump's victory, 'Never-Trumpers' and the liberal media were residing in a 'blue bubble,' according to a veteran journalist.
The 'Kilmeade Show' is facing significant challenges in determining how to report on President Trump's actions.
Mark Halperin, a seasoned political analyst and successful author, informed "The Brian Kilmeade Show" that he had cautioned both liberals and "Never Trump" Republicans about Trump's potential victory over VP Kamala Harris. Halperin responded to the mainstream media, including MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and Mika Brezezinski, preparing to cover a second Trump presidency.
I tried to convince everyone I knew who opposed Donald Trump to consider the possibility that he could receive 50% of the vote, even though the difference between 47% and 50% is several million Americans. However, most people did not listen to me, and there is something about Trump that sets them off. While Trump's behavior, rhetoric, and conduct contribute to this, it goes beyond that. The dominant media also plays a role in creating a fantasy world where issues like the open border and prosecutions against Trump are not significant. This "blue bubble" prevents people from seeing the reality of the situation.
I often encounter this situation when I speak with Trump supporters. They can easily explain why the left does not like Donald Trump, but when I ask why people like him, they struggle to respond. The litany of reasons we just discussed is a significant factor, but it is not the only explanation. Many on the left are unable to comprehend that a large portion of their fellow citizens hold different views than they do.
The hosts of the MSNBC morning show sparked controversy within their liberal network by disclosing that they had visited Mar-a-Lago to speak with President-elect Trump.
"One MSNBC employee responded to Planet Chronicle Digital by saying, 'Cowardice,' after [anti-Trump historian] Tim Snyder warned on our air not to do so. It's disgusting but unfortunately unsurprising."
MSNBC's rank and file are now "largely disdainful" of the network's morning stars, feeling that they are "just opportunistic."
On Bluesky, MSNBC contributor Jennifer Rubin labeled the situation as "disgusting." Meanwhile, MSNBC host Katie Phang posted on X, stating that normalizing Trump is a "bad idea."
Planet Chronicle' Joseph Wulfsohn contributed to this report.
