Barbershop patrons in Atlanta are not swayed by VP Harris' economic message: "I don't require assistance."
Over 10% of Black voters in Georgia have shifted their support from Harris to Biden since the 2020 election.
As Election Day approaches, Vice President Harris and former President Trump are making their final appeals to voters in crucial swing states such as Georgia, where early voting has already begun.
While many Black men are torn about the 2024 race, they often struggle to decide between the candidates' personalities and key issues such as the economy.
""Fox & Friends" co-host Lawrence Jones spoke with a voter at FADEOLOGIST 3 barbershop in the Atlanta area who said that Kamala hasn't presented a plan on what she's going to do, but only talked about what she's going to give people. The voter stated that Kamala is going to give people all this stuff, including a $25,000 tax credit to buy a house, but it won't matter because people won't buy a house with that amount of money."
"The Democrats believe that everyone wants something for free. They think that if they give you something, you'll vote for them. However, I don't need a handout; I need an opportunity."
A recent survey by the Atlanta Journal Constitution found that 73.8% of Black voters would support Harris, compared to 87% who backed President Biden in 2020.
In the Peach State, Trump is four points ahead of Harris, according to the same poll.
In Georgia, neither Trump nor Harris has a clear victory, as one voter contended that the country and Atlanta community are in disarray.
"I'm voting for Trump because he provided us with four years of peace and prosperity, a secure border, and no new wars. As a business owner, the border is a significant issue for me because inflation is caused by an excess of dollars chasing fewer goods, and an invasion is another form of inflation because it results in more people needing fewer products."
"A barber told Jones that they want to choose the best candidate who will enable them to work for themselves. Many people, like the barber's client, are seeking an opportunity to start their own business and are asking which president will be the most beneficial. The barber advised Jones that he believes Kamala is the best choice."
Despite criticism of her time with the Biden administration, another man stated that he has observed more people leaning towards Kamala Harris.
An Atlanta resident who voted for the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020 expressed regret, saying, "I don't want my pockets hurting."
He clarified that his love for someone is not based on their personality, but rather on their voting history. He pointed out that his own voting history is not always blue or red, but rather a mix of both.
Despite the economy being a significant concern for voters across the country, a Georgia local stated that "the most pressing issue I believe Black America faces is trust."
"Inflation is currently high in Washington, D.C., and interest rates are rising. We are concerned that the current administration will not be able to support us for another four years."
With the clock ticking down to November 5, the focus is on the swing states as Harris and Trump make their final moves in the race for the presidency.
