Australian broadcast chair criticizes Joe Rogan: 'Extremely offensive'
Australian TV executive Kim Williams accused Rogan of exploiting the vulnerabilities of the public and treating them as plunder.
On Tuesday, Kim Williams, the chairman of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, gave a critical opinion of Joe Rogan, stating that the podcast host was exploiting the American public.
During his speech at the Australian National Press Club, Williams confessed that he does not listen to "The Joe Rogan Experience," which elicited chuckles from the crowd.
"He stated that Mr. Rogan exploits people's weaknesses by targeting their fears, anxieties, and uncertainties."
Rogan's idea that entrepreneurial and conspiratorial "fantasy" outcomes are a normal part of the "social narrative" was also suggested by him.
He stated that he found it deeply repulsive to think that someone had such remarkable power in the United States, and he looked at it in disbelief.
Rogan is considered a source of entertainment by some, despite Williams' shock that he and others like him use the public for malevolent purposes.
Rogan was immediately intrigued by the Williams video and posted "LOL WUT" on X.
Planet Chronicle Digital reached out to Rogan's publicist for further comment.
Independent podcasters, such as Rogan, have a significant influence on modern voters, and many Democrats recognized this after President-elect Trump's election victory. Despite being invited, Vice President Kamala Harris did not conduct an interview with Rogan, which was widely viewed as a regrettable mistake.
Rogan initially supported liberal views and Sen. Bernie Sanders in 2020, but later endorsed Trump in 2024 before the election.
Some media figures have proposed that Rogan and other podcasters contributed to Trump's election victory by spreading "false information" and advised Democrats to create their own podcast to compete with "The Joe Rogan Experience."
On Tuesday, the left-wing group expressed their desire for their own version of Joe Rogan.
"Rogan stated that he believes the "Call Her Daddy" shows and other similar shows featuring Harris had an impact, but he thinks that in the future, they will be trying to create their own version of the show. He added that people often ask for their own version of him, but he was already on their side."
