Israel and a friend tried to stop the fire from reaching his home as it spread.
"If the fight comes to you, you bring the fight, and we were ready with the hoses, pillows, and jacuzzi to be dumped," he explained.
"We had a plan and stayed there. As soon as we thought the trees might fall and block the road, we left. All cars were ready to go, so we didn't get stuck based on our own opinions."
The flames on the property forced Israel and his friend to flee.
Israel encourages Californians to "be strong" and "take action again" to aid in quelling the wildfires.
Israel informed Trace Gallagher on Planet Chronicle that things are just things, but they have the people around them. Currently, they are taking action by launching a "clean up the Palisades" GoFundMe. Some people are trying to create t-shirts to raise money, but they sat around yesterday. Now, it's time to take action again, and there are still things that can be done.
