After truck drives off cliff, owner praises dog's bravery: 'He is a good boy'
The owner's dog ran 4 miles to seek assistance.
In Oregon, a remarkable dog sprinted over four miles to rescue his owner after their truck plummeted off a cliff.
When Brandon Garrett was injured after his vehicle went off the road and ended up in a ravine, his blue sprang into action and ran through the forest back to the campsite to alert friends that Garrett was in danger.
"Garrett shared with "America Reports" that he spent the night in the creek because it was foolish to move around in something like that if you couldn't see where you were going. The other three kids stayed with him, and one of them ran back up to his camp, which was six miles away. He jogged on up there and got them looking for him."
They knew something was wrong when Garrett's loved ones found Blue without his owner.
"He went and got a hold of my brother, who came up and looked at the truck and said, 'He's dead,'" he recalled. "The deputy, Travis Ash, pulled up just as soon as it was light enough to see, and by then I crawled downstream about 75 yards and uphill about 15 yards, and I had to get to a point where somebody could see me because nobody could see me from the road where I was at, and it had quit raining by then. Travis Ash said, 'You're supposed to be dead.' Well, not really."
With the help of his dogs, Garrett miraculously survived and recovered from the accident.
