Adam Schiff voter switches to Steve Garvey after Israel trip: "If you're Jewish, you're not happy"
'California voter Samara Weiner is truly prepared for a candidate with strong moral values,' she stated.
A California Democrat who previously supported Rep. Adam Schiff is now backing GOP opponent Steve Garvey in the upcoming Senate race after meeting him in Israel.
On "Planet Chronicle @ Night" on Tuesday, Samara Weiner, a Jewish lawyer, criticized Schiff for prioritizing politics over all else after the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack.
"Weiner stated that he believed Schiff was not voting for the necessary weapons for Israel's protection, which was leading to antisemitism and violence against Jews."
""If you're Jewish, you're not happy with the Democratic Party and you're ready for someone with moral clarity to stand up for you and do the right thing," she said."
Recently, Garvey, a 10-time MLB All-Star and World Series champion who launched his Senate bid last fall, returned from a week in Israel where he visited the Nova festival grounds, met with a hostage family, and spoke with voters like Weiner.
Garvey informed Trace Gallagher that when conversing with individuals and paying attention to their concerns, he learned that they required him to visit locations from which he could return with accurate information, such as the border, homelessness, or crime on the streets. However, recently, the focus has shifted to returning to Israel.
Garvey was praised by Weiner, who splits her time between California and Israel, for being "completely authentic" during his trip.
"She admired his bravery," she stated. "The Republican Party is in need of a fearless leader."
Since 1992, no Republican has served in the California Senate, but Garvey aims to change that by winning the seat after defeating several Democrat opponents in the state's primary in March.
A longtime resident contended that he is fighting for the "soul" of the state after career politicians, such as Schiff, have disappointed voters.
He stated that the greatest currency we possess is the opportunity to vote, and he expressed pride in voters like Weiner for challenging the status quo and following their conscience.
He said that he loved this state and country, and that it was necessary for someone to display political courage.
