According to a report, Harris withdrew from the Joe Rogan podcast due to backlash from his progressive staff.
Vice President Biden had certain requirements for appearing on Joe Rogan's podcast.
According to a report, Vice President Kamala Harris declined to appear on Joe Rogan's podcast due to potential backlash from the Democratic Party.
On Wednesday, the Financial Times reported that Jennifer Palmieri, senior advisor to second gentleman Doug Emhoff, stated that discussions about Harris appearing on "The Joe Rogan Experience" did not proceed due to worries about how the interview would be viewed within the Democratic Party.
Palmieri reportedly stated that there was opposition from some of our progressive staff who did not want her to be included, and that there would be backlash.
After discussions about Harris' potential appearance leaked, there was a "very weird dynamic" between Rogan and Harris' team.
Palmieri stated that all of a sudden, he was on the defensive about how his audience would react to this and the expectations they would have of him to be tough on her.
Planet Chronicle Digital reached out to the Harris campaign for a comment.
Since the deal fell through, Rogan has disclosed various details about the incident, including her campaign's requirement for an hour-long interview and her insistence on traveling to meet him rather than recording at his podcasting studio in Austin, Tex.
On Tuesday, he proposed that the campaign should impose limitations on the topics they would discuss during an interview.
"Rogan stated that he is unsure of the number of conversations he had with his family, but there were multiple conversations with varying dates, times, and topics. He added that they knew she would be in Texas, so he invited her to come over. Rogan also mentioned that there were requirements on certain topics that she didn't want to discuss, such as marijuana legalization, which he found amusing."
The campaign appeared "chaotic," and the vice president struggled in unscripted scenarios.
Rogan stated that he is unsure if she is skilled at managing things because it is necessary to observe from behind the scenes, but when it comes to speaking impromptu, she excels at delivering a pre-written speech from a teleprompter.
