A former prosecutor, corrections officer, and lover of the killer mom up for parole speak out against her, labeling her a "master manipulator."
'Susan Smith, The Killer Mom: 30 Years Later' is now streaming on Fox Nation, hosted by Judge Jeanine Pirro.
A woman who drowned her two young sons in a lake thirty years ago is preparing for a parole hearing, but those closest to her case and aware of her prison record argue she does not deserve freedom.
"Former prison guard Alfred Rowe stated on Fox Nation's 'Susan Smith, The Killer Mom: 30 Years Later' that he does not trust her and believes she should not be released," said Smith.
The upcoming Fox Nation show, "Susan Smith, The Killer Mom: 30 Years Later," presents exclusive interviews with the real killer mom before her parole hearing and raises the debate, "Should Susan Smith be released from prison?"
The show, hosted by Planet Chronicle' Judge Jeanine Pirro, features testimony from the former prosecutor on the case, a former South Carolina corrections officer, and one of Smith's former lovers.
"On "America Reports" Thursday, Pirro stated that this woman is an operator. Despite it being 30 years, she does not appear to be remorseful about her children. However, the father of the children is upset about the possibility of her making parole."
In October 1994, Susan Smith put her sons, 3-year-old Michael and 14-month-old Alexander, in the back seat of her car and drove it off a ramp into John D. Long Lake in Union, South Carolina.
At 22 years old, Smith witnessed the car filling with water in six minutes, which drowned her boys and sank the car to the bottom of the lake.
On national television, the Smiths made a plea for the return of their children after Susan claimed that a Black man had carjacked her and kidnapped the boys.
Susan Smith, the woman who drowned her sons nine days after their disappearance, was sentenced to life in prison in 1995 for the murders. Now, at the age of 53, she is facing the possibility of remaining in prison indefinitely after being caught trying to profit off her case.
The Fox Nation special examines her prison experience and delves into her controversial past, including drug use, self-harm, and disciplinary actions. Additionally, it is alleged that she had multiple affairs with prison guards.
Rowe stated that he never believed the mind games would succeed in influencing him while within the institution, but the affair has "haunted" him.
Although she has a long criminal record, Smith is trying to gain backing for her release.
According to Tommy Pope, the former prosecutor of Smith's case, Susan Smith is Susan's top priority.
"Susan is seeking opportunity, and that's what she's always sought. Susan is remorseful that this occurred to her, and she's remorseful for how it affected her."
Jon Ozmint, a former S.C. Department of Corrections Officer, stated that he is not concerned about Smith being granted parole as the parole board evaluates his case.
"She’s not going to make it," Ozmint maintains.
The parole hearing for Smith has been scheduled by the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services for Nov. 20.
