A former bar owner warns that DC's downfall serves as a cautionary tale for a potential Harris administration.
For the second year in a row, Washington, DC was ranked as the least desirable city in the United States by Americans.
For the second year in a row, Washington, D.C. has been named America's "least desirable" city to live in. A former resident has cautioned that voting for Kamala Harris could lead the country down a similar path.
If you want D.C. to be the future of our nation, vote for Kamala and Walz, according to Adam Kelinsky, a former resident of the city who now lives in Virginia.
"The liberal agenda will spread throughout the country and lead to its downfall."
In June 2024, Clever Real Estate surveyed 1,000 Americans and found that about 33% ranked the District of Columbia as one of the top five worst U.S. cities, an increase from 20% in 2023.
In recent years, the capital city has faced challenges such as violent crime, an influx of illegal immigrants, high living costs, and homelessness.
"If we want D.C. to turn the United States into the least desirable place to live, then vote for Kamala and Walz," Kelinsky said. "Mayor Bowser and her cronies are being mimicked and followed in their policies."
In 2023, the Pursuit Wine Bar & Kitchen, located in Kelinsky's H Street Corridor restaurant, was closed due to being burglarized five times that year.
"After enduring five broken bars, street threats to my family, and the constant fear of harm, we decided to pack up and leave our city. As a third-generation Washingtonian, it was a difficult decision, but we couldn't take it anymore," he said.
The Biden-Harris administration is responsible for larger-scale problems such as crime and a poor economy, according to Kelinsky, who believes that the vice president will not abandon her progressive views if she becomes president.
If they continue to elect her, she will implement the same policies for the next eight years, which include addressing crime and inflation.
"The Democrats are afflicted with Stockholm syndrome, as they are too scared to accept assistance from those who can truly bring about positive change and improvement."
