A Democratic Party consultant who supported Trump claims her liberal friends abandoned her.
Evan Barker claims that the left harbors a "cultural animosity" toward individuals in Middle America.
A former Democratic Party consultant who supported President-elect Donald Trump claims that her liberal acquaintances now shun her.
Evan Barker, a Free Press contributor and Trump voter, is based in San Francisco and previously raised "at least $50 million for the left." However, she decided to vote for Trump as a "middle finger" to the party that she believes "turned its back" on her family.
"I believe I must go into hiding. Over the past few days, I've had close friends who have known me for over a decade turn their backs on me and refuse to interact with me anymore," Barker stated on "Fox & Friends" Monday.
"Despite the difficulties, she stated, "I am still satisfied with my choice, and I am equally content with my decision to disclose this information publicly.""
Barker recently published a Free Press article detailing her reasons for leaving the Democratic Party.
Barker stated that he originally hails from the Kansas City, Missouri region and that many of his family members are union members who used to vote Democrat. However, in recent years, they have gradually shifted towards the Republican party. Initially, Barker did not comprehend the reason behind this shift, but after working as a fundraiser in Democratic politics and living in the area, he has observed a cultural attitude and resentment among left-wing individuals towards people in the middle of the country.
"In the final days of the election, Joe Biden made a televised statement calling the majority of the country 'garbage,' which was evidently seen clearly," she stated. "There have been various factors that have contributed to this."
Barker stated that Vice President Harris has not effectively communicated her vision for America's economic future and has not adequately addressed the suffering of the population.
Barker stated that instead of having television show appearances with Oprah Winfrey and the women on 'The View,' they just don't understand the issue.
"While she stated that they don't understand the pain people are feeling, Donald Trump was out there communicating with the public daily."
Barker believes Trump's plan will truly benefit the working class, and ideas such as no tax on tips and overtime resonated with voters. She plans to change her official registration to independent.
