A CNN commentator warns that Harris' price control plan will lead to "bread lines" and a "The Walking Dead" economy.
On Friday, Harris discussed the challenges of high grocery prices and other economic issues.
On Friday, CNN commentator Scott Jennings stated that Vice President Harris' plan for price controls would lead to widespread food shortages.
"If you enjoy bread queues, stockouts, black markets, and hoarding, and wish to replicate the joyful economic climate of 'The Walking Dead,' Harris has a strategy for you, as stated by Jennings on Friday."
On Wednesday, the Harris campaign declared that she would implement a "federal ban on price gouging on food and groceries" as president to prevent "big corporations" from exploiting consumers. On Friday, Harris addressed her economic vision for the country in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The Republican strategist stated that grocery stores operate on thin profit margins and there is no gouging, only inflation.
Jennings stated that the plan originated from a ticket with no private-sector experience and no desire to take responsibility for the economic crisis affecting the working class in the United States.
The commentator responded to Harris' comments on high grocery prices and other economic difficulties.
"Jennings stated that the first thing he saw was a scathing critique of the country's conditions. He emphasized that the Biden-Harris agenda has severely impacted the American people, with inflation being the most pressing issue. He pointed out how food prices, housing costs, and the housing shortage have all been affected."
"Jennings stated that she and Joe Biden are responsible for the current conditions, and she has directly voted for them. She questioned how she could differentiate herself from Biden on this issue since everything she discussed today was a direct result of her actions."
During her speech in North Carolina on Friday, Harris vowed to tackle the expenses that are most significant to the majority of Americans.
Prices for food have increased due to supply chain disruptions during the pandemic, but despite improved supply chains, prices remain too high, according to Harris.
