A California high school teacher has been placed on administrative leave after he warned students that they could be placed in "concentration camps" due to President-elect Donald Trump's victory and accused "racist" voters and "the patriarchy" of Vice President Kamala Harris' defeat.

Corey DeAngelis, a senior fellow at the American Culture Project, posted an audio recording of a student's angry outburst in a teacher's classroom at Valley View High School in the Moreno Valley Unified School District on X.

In the audio clips, an unnamed teacher cautions students about the potential consequences of Trump's policies, including the possibility of being sent to "concentration camps" or having "no human rights."

The teacher stated that the game is not a f-game, and emphasized the importance of understanding this. It is possible to end up in a concentration camp or have no human rights, but it is unlikely to happen to most people. However, the teacher pointed out that Hitler's ideas have been quoted by Donald Trump, and that he embodies some of those ideas.

Donald Trump won because of low voter turnout, specifically due to White women not voting for Kamala Harris, and Black and Brown men not voting for her. Trump also won because of the support of Latino men, who love him and whose mothers and fathers he has called rapists.

Many Latino men secretly wish they were White, but they will never admit it to you. Many of your fathers, uncles, and grandfathers share this desire. However, they will never achieve it. I despise these men who mistreat women in their families, including their own daughters, and then vote for a candidate who seeks to oppress them.

"I am Mexican-American and proud of it. I cherish my community. However, I deeply despise the patriarchy. If you're a young man in front of me, I hope you share my hatred for it. You have the advantage of not being born with a uterus, which means it doesn't affect you. I'm truly sorry, guys. You deserve better. Just look at me - I deserve better too!"

"Are you privileged because you reside in this state? Yes, you are not a five-year-old girl in Arkansas who is the only African American in her class and whose great grandfather was lynched to death during the Civil Rights movement. You have a lot of privilege living here. This election will impact billions of people. You're fortunate to be in this position. However, there's a Palestinian boy in Michigan who will be beaten up and have his nose broken today," he stated.

The teacher criticized Trump as "treasonous scum" and accused Harris of defeat due to racism and sexism.

When Kamala became president after Joe Biden dropped out, I cried for a week straight. I knew that as a brown woman, she wouldn't be well-received by some voters, despite being the best candidate in the country. I knew there were men, both White and non-White, who would vote for anyone except someone with a uterus and melanin.

"Our country is racist and patriarchal, but we can change it. You now know what it is like here. We all deserve better," he said.

The teacher involved in the classroom incident in the Moreno Valley Unified School District has not been publicly identified, as confirmed by the district in a comment to Planet Chronicle Digital.

"The district has launched an investigation after a staff member at one of its high schools discussed the election results in an unprofessional manner. The staff member has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation is ongoing. The district values the diversity of its community and aims to create a respectful and inclusive learning environment that supports all students."

Thank you to those who spoke up and shared their concerns with us. Through collaboration, we can maintain a positive and supportive educational environment for all students in our Moreno Valley Unified School District.
