'A California Democrat who was once a "true-blue" party member has abandoned the Democrats and endorsed Trump, citing this as the "final straw."'

Gloria Romero, a self-described "true-blue Democrat," has left the Democratic Party and joined the GOP, citing the endorsement of a prominent lifelong Democrat by President Trump as the reason for her departure.

Romero, a former DNC delegate, the former Democratic leader of the California State Senate and the former state re-election chair for President Barack Obama's campaign, stated that when he heard RFK [Jr.] declare his support for Trump, he decided to join him and back the president as well.

""The party left me with a number of issues, and I don't know what it is anymore. If this is the new way forward for Democrats, good luck. Many of us will be leaving," she continued."

In an interview with Planet Chronicle' Pete Hegseth on Sunday, she explained several reasons for her departure, including the perceived "lawfare" against former President Trump and the Democrats' alleged "denial of school opportunities" for low-income children.

In a recent op-ed in the New York Post, Romero criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her time as California attorney general "unremarkable" and arguing that her "manipulated ascent" reflects the Democratic Party's move towards authoritarianism and censorship.

In her writing, she stated that President Ronald Reagan's warning about fascism coming to America disguised as liberalism was accurate, as she has observed individual freedoms being restricted, suppressed, and censored.

She voiced her concern about the inability to define what a woman is and her disdain for "abortion till birth."

"The party has just become completely woke and has abandoned key allies such as Israel, as she told Hegseth," she said.

"The Democratic Party has shifted to the far left due to the influence of the Hamas caucus, which helped them win a swing state."
