Patrick and Brittany Mahomes announced the birth of their third child on Monday.

The Kansas City Chiefs star and his wife revealed the name of their newborn child, Golden Raye Mahomes, in an Instagram post. They also shared the names of their other two children, Bronze and Sterling.

Despite being pregnant during the 2024 NFL season, Brittany Mahomes made it to most of the Chiefs' home games at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on her husband and the team.

Patrick appeared concerned about the timing of the birth as she was due to give birth this week, which coincided with the Chiefs' potential playoff game. If Kansas City did not win the necessary games to secure homefield advantage and a first-round bye in the postseason, Patrick might have missed the birth.

Fortunately, the Chiefs secured their victory over the Steelers on Christmas Day.

"I informed my pregnant wife that I would secure the No. 1 seed so we could have the baby," he said to Netflix's Stacey Dales. "We obtained the one seed."
