The Arch Manning era has begun in Texas.

If Quinn Ewers declares for the NFL Draft, Manning will likely become the starting quarterback for the foreseeable future. He may continue to play for at least the 2025 season and possibly 2026 if he chooses not to turn pro.

This season, he passed for 939 yards and nine touchdowns, while also showcasing his mobility with four rushing touchdowns. He is the son of Cooper Manning, the grandson of former NFL star quarterback Archie Manning, and the nephew of Eli and Peyton Manning.

During this offseason, Colt McCoy, a former Texas star, advised attacking as a time to improve. He played in three games and reflected on his performance. What were my strengths and weaknesses? How can I enhance my skills to have a successful spring?

While the entire Texas football team has a lot to build on, Arch has a great opportunity to excel. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, just be yourself and play to your strengths.

Manning was typically employed in run-pass option schemes for the Longhorns, presenting defenses with a new challenge. He made his debut against Louisiana-Monroe and Mississippi State when Ewers sustained an injury.

Manning had 258 passing yards and two touchdown passes in a 51-3 win against Louisiana-Monroe. He then had 325 passing yards and two touchdown passes against Mississippi State in a 35-13 win. However, he was back to the backup role after Ewers returned.

The offense will suffer a significant blow with the departure of top receivers Matthew Golden and Isaiah Bond, as well as the completion of senior tight end Gunnar Helm's eligibility.

Jaydon Blue, Kelvin Banks Jr., and Cam Williams, all of whom are running backs and offensive linemen, have declared for the NFL.
