On Sunday, President-elect Trump revealed that he has appointed Brendan Carr to be the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) effective January.
"Commissioner Carr has been serving as the senior Republican on the FCC since his appointment by Trump in 2017. Prior to that, he was the General Counsel of the FCC. He has been confirmed unanimously by the United States Senate three times."
"As a result of his outstanding performance, he will be appointed as the permanent Chairman, with his term extending until 2029."
