Trump allies assert victory in debate, accuse moderators of being "pro-Kamala supporters."
Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump met face-to-face for the first time on Tuesday night.
After the debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday night, Trump's top allies are hastily proclaiming victory.
Despite criticizing ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis for their handling of the debate, GOP lawmakers are still celebrating Donald Trump's victory.
Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., stated that President Trump delivered a strong message to the American people, emphasizing reducing inflation and strengthening the economy, securing our borders, and pursuing a foreign policy that promotes peace through strength.
"The moderators of the ABC debate were not journalists, but rather pro-Kamala activists who baselessly attacked President Trump, leading to a 3 on 1 debate. Despite this, Kamala was allowed to lie repeatedly. Despite this, President Trump won overwhelmingly and will win again on Election Day."
Despite her attempts to present more moderate positions on firearm ownership and the border, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., accused Trump of exposing Harris as a "radical."
Johnson stated that Americans were reminded of two issues during the prime-time debate: Harris's lifelong record as a Marxist and her ability to secure the border and reduce costs as the sitting Vice President, despite her lying about her radical views and biased moderators covering for her.
Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, echoed Trump's sentiments to Planet Chronicle host Sean Hannity, stating, "The moderators failed to perform their duties, but President Trump executed his responsibilities."
John Barrasso, R-Wyo., wrote on X that President Trump tonight presented a plan to reverse the high prices and open borders of the Biden-Harris administration. He emphasized the need to unleash American energy and get the country back on track.
Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, stated that Trump "devastated Kamala Harris on national television and exposed her administration for the harm it inflicted!"
In the debate, Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., stated that Joe Biden had set the bar low enough for her to easily clear it, but she still managed to go even lower.
One GOP lawmaker told Planet Chronicle Digital that Harris seemed to be getting under Trump's skin.
"During the debate, the GOP lawmaker stated that "she talks to us like toddlers but effectively provokes him." Meanwhile, "he is correct on policy but struggles to maintain a consistent message.""
