The Walz family members are seen wearing t-shirts supporting their preferred presidential candidate: 'Walz for Trump'
Some family members of the Minnesota governor have publicly opposed his political campaign.
A photo posted online depicts the family of Vice Presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz publicly endorsing former President Trump.
The photo, featuring eight individuals wearing "Nebraska Walz's for Trump" t-shirts, was posted online by former Nebraska Republican gubernatorial candidate Charles Herbster.
Herbster wrote on X that Tim Walz's family in Nebraska wants to convey a message.
Herbster's representative informed Planet Chronicle Digital that the individuals in the photo are connected to Walz through his grandfather's brother, Francis Walz. Planet Chronicle Digital has contacted both the Trump and Harris campaigns.
Family members who spoke to Planet Chronicle said they feel "distant" from Walz and have never met or spoken with him. An anonymous person in the photo said they are supporting Trump because "he supports our values."
Trump indicated on Truth Social that he intends to meet with Jeff Walz, the brother of the Minnesota governor, in response to an image.
Last week, Walz shared a series of statements about the Democratic vice presidential nominee on social media.
Jeff Walz expressed his 100% opposition to his brother's ideology in a Facebook message on Friday evening.
"My family wasn't informed that he was selected and denied security a few days later," he stated.
"Endorse President Trump on stage and save the country," a Trump supporter wrote on Jeff's post.
"Jeff replied, "I've given it a lot of thought, and I'm now undecided between doing it and keeping my family out of it.""
Jeff Walz, Craig Walz, and Sandy Dietrich are Gov. Walz's siblings.
Jeff, who grew up in rural Nebraska and now resides in Florida, shared on social media that he discovered his brother was selected as Vice President Kamala Harris's running mate.
"Jeff stated that the only thing he disagreed with, which he stands by 100%, was that we discovered about his being chosen as the vice presidential candidate through radio. He also expressed that we should have been given a heads-up and some form of security, at least temporarily, as it is a significant matter."
Planet Chronicle Digital's Andrea Vacchiano and Emma Colton contributed to this report.
