At least 8 people were injured in a Hamas attack when an assailant opened fire on an Israeli bus in the West Bank, according to a report.
Near Israeli settlement of Ariel, four IDF troops sustained injuries from gunfire.
Reports indicate that an alleged gunman from the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas fired at an Israeli bus in the West Bank on Friday, injuring eight individuals, including four soldiers.
Near Ariel, the attacker, identified as 46-year-old Samer Hussein, was killed by Israeli troops.
"An Israeli bus was attacked by an armed terrorist at Gitti Avisar [Junction], resulting in the injury of four IDF soldiers. The soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment."
The front windshield of the bus was riddled with bullet holes, and a car on the side of the road was severely damaged, as shown in images and videos taken from the scene.
The Israeli military announced that its soldiers eliminated the terrorist at the scene.
The al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's armed wing, claimed responsibility for the attack, according to Reuters.
In Gaza Strip, a crowd of Palestinians crushed two girls and a woman to death while trying to get bread from a bakery.
According to The Associated Press, the bodies of two 13-year-old girls and a 50-year-old woman were transported to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, where a doctor confirmed that they died from suffocation due to overcrowding at the al-Banna bakery.
Nearly 100 U.N. aid trucks were attacked in the Gaza Strip, resulting in a reported increase in food prices.
Last week, a woman in Deir al-Balah informed The Associated Press that the cost of flour has surpassed $100 per bag and is difficult to obtain.
