President-elect Donald Trump has an urgent message from Venezuelan opposition leader María Machado.

On Monday, Edmundo Gonzalez, the winner of Venezuela's presidential election in July, went to Argentina and Panama with the ballots to demonstrate that he, not Nicolás Maduro, is Venezuela's legitimate leader.

""We won the election with a landslide victory, as proven by Edmundo Gonzalez, and the whole world knows it," Maria Corina Machado, a top leader in the Venezuelan opposition, stated on Planet Chronicle."

The opposition in Venezuela has called for large-scale protests to peacefully prevent Maduro's inauguration on Friday, as they believe his mafia-style autocratic rule has led to the near-bankruptcy of the oil-rich nation.

Machado stated via Zoom from her safe house in Venezuela that it is crucial for all American institutions to comprehend that Venezuela is the most significant conflict in the Western Hemisphere for the U.S.'s national security.

"We can be the best ally the United States will have in the Americas because we are also desperate to solve the migration problem in our region. We want those Venezuelans to come back in billions and voluntarily. And that will happen when they'll see there's a future in their country."

President-elect Trump received a message from Machado stating that Venezuela possesses a significant energy potential that will never be utilized, and that the country will be transformed from a criminal center to an energy center in the Americas, with a strong alliance with the United States.

Venezuela elected Gonzalez president in July, and while in Washington, he met with incoming National Security Advisor Michael Waltz of Florida. Maduro has warned that Gonzalez will be arrested if he returns to Venezuela.

"Machado emphasized the importance of resolving the conflict in Venezuela for the safety of the American people and the future of democracy in the region."

Machado warned military and judiciary supporters of Maduro that the fall of Assad in Syria serves as a warning. On Tuesday, the regime sent secret police units to surround her family's homes, flew a drone over her mother's house, and kidnapped President-elect Gonzalez's brother-in-law.

"What has Maduro left? Russia, Iran, and Hezbollah," Machado, a former member of Venezuela’s National Assembly, asked.

Two Americans were arrested by the Maduro regime one day after meeting with President Biden at the White House, on charges of being mercenaries sent by the U.S. government.

The State Department expressed concern over reports of U.S. citizens being held in Venezuela. They are currently working to obtain additional information. However, due to privacy concerns and other factors, they cannot provide any further comment on these cases. Any allegations that the U.S. is involved in a plot to overthrow Maduro are entirely false. The United States continues to support a democratic resolution to the political crisis in Venezuela.

U.S. citizens should avoid traveling to Venezuela, as Maduro and his associates have a history of detaining and imprisoning American citizens without any legal justification or due process.
