On Monday, a 17-year-old boy killed a third child during a stabbing spree at a dance class for young children in the UK, which was themed around Taylor Swift.

On Tuesday, the BBC reported that a 9-year-old girl died of her injuries, while five other children and two adults are still in critical condition at local hospitals.

Swift was "completely in shock" and still processing "the horror" of the attack.

"She wrote in an Instagram story, "These were just little kids at a dance class, and I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.""

In Southport, northwest England, a 17-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. Investigators are working to establish a motive for the rampage.

In tribute, local residents placed flowers and stuffed animals at a police barricade on the road leading to a seaside resort near Liverpool, known as "sunny Southport," which is popular among vacationers from northwest England due to its beach and pier.

The attack at noon on Monday was described as a scene straight out of a horror movie, with bloodied children fleeing in terror. The suspect, who was born in Cardiff, Wales, and lived in a village near Southport, was arrested soon after on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. No charges have been filed yet.

The police stated that the attack is not being classified as a terrorist act and no additional suspects are being sought.

According to the Associated Press, Serena Kennedy, the Merseyside Police Chief Constable, stated that the adults who were injured were courageously attempting to shield the children from the attack.

A suspect attacked a Taylor Swift-themed yoga and dance workshop for children ages 6-11 at the Hart Space, a local community center.

Screams were heard and children were seen fleeing the scene with blood on their bodies, according to witnesses.

According to Bare Varathan, the owner of a nearby shop, "They were in the road, running from the nursery," and he stated that "They had been stabbed, here, here, here, everywhere," indicating their neck, back, and chest.

Leanne Lucas, the dance teacher, has been commended for her courage after valiantly attempting to safeguard the children during the assault, as reported by The Independent. It is stated that she is one of the two adults who are in critical condition.

The stabbing spree was described as "horrendous and deeply shocking" by U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

""I am being kept updated on the situation and would like to thank the police and emergency services for their swift response," he said."

As parents, we cannot fathom the emotions of the families, friends, and loved ones of those who were killed and injured in Southport today.
