Hezbollah members injured in Lebanon due to exploding pagers condemned by Russia: 'Explosive situation'

The Lebanese government is condemning the reported use of explosive devices to target thousands of individuals linked to a terrorist organization in Lebanon.
On Tuesday, at least 12 people were killed and over 3,000 members of the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group were killed after their pagers detonated simultaneously across Lebanon.
According to Agence France-Presse, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that whatever has happened is undoubtedly causing an increase in tensions.

Around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, pagers in Lebanon began heating up and exploding, with the blasts occurring in areas where Hezbollah has a strong presence, particularly in southern Beirut and the Beqaa region of eastern Lebanon, as well as in Damascus, according to Lebanese security officials and a Hezbollah official.
Russia is in a strategic alliance with Iran, which supports Hezbollah as a proxy fighter against Israel.
The Russian Foreign Ministry strongly condemns the unprecedented attack on Lebanon and its citizens, which constitutes a flagrant violation of its sovereignty and a serious challenge to international law through the use of unconventional weapons, as reported by Agence France-Presse.
Such irresponsible actions along the Lebanese-Israeli border are fraught with extremely dangerous consequences, as they provoke a new round of escalation amid growing tension.
An official from the United States has stated to Planet Chronicle that Israel is responsible for the explosions in Beirut, as new blasts continue to occur.
During a press conference on Wednesday morning, Lebanon Health Minister Firas Abiad stated that numerous injured individuals had severe eye injuries, while some had limbs removed.
Masoud Pezeshkian, the Iranian President, has confirmed his country's plans to enhance cooperation with Russia in the near future.
On Tuesday, Pezeshkian informed Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu that his government will diligently pursue continued cooperation and initiatives to enhance the relationship between the two countries.
The relationship between Tehran and Moscow will remain permanent, continuous, and enduring. Strengthening cooperation and deepening relations between Iran and Russia will lessen the impact of sanctions.
