On Thursday, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they had targeted infrastructure sites in southern Lebanon, including Chihine, Tayibe, Blida, Meiss El Jabal, Aitaroun, and Kfarkela. Additionally, IDF stated that they had struck a Hezbollah weapons storage facility in Khiam.
The IDF will persist in combating the Hezbollah terrorist group to safeguard the State of Israel, as stated by the IDF.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, two deadly waves of explosions occurred in Lebanon, causing electronic devices to detonate in near-simultaneous explosions that resulted in strikes.
On Tuesday, 12 people were killed and 2,800 others were injured when hundreds of pagers used by Hezbollah members exploded.
On Wednesday, at least 25 people were killed and more than 450 were injured when another wave of electronic devices exploded. Hezbollah officials stated that the devices contained walkie-talkies and solar equipment.
The Israeli government has not commented on the deadly blasts in Israel, which have largely been blamed for the explosions.
On Wednesday, a senior U.S. official revealed to Planet Chronicle that Israel is responsible for the pager explosions that affected Hezbollah members in Lebanon.
The bombings in Lebanon have intensified fears of a full-scale conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
