As JD Vance was chosen as former President Donald Trump's running mate, he must now address concerns from women who support the Trump-Vance ticket that their election prospects will be negatively impacted by old media clips.

In a media interview years ago, Vance stated that "a group of unhappy, childless women who are unhappy with their lives and the choices they've made" should not be in charge of the country, including Vice President Kamala Harris. He also suggested that Congress should impose a higher tax rate on individuals without children for the things that are bad, rather than taxing the good things.

The launch of Vance at the Republican National Convention last month was successful, according to his team. However, the Harris campaign used old media clips to criticize him. Despite this, women supporting the Republican ticket believe that his comments and efforts to adjust course are not enough, and they hope that the junior senator with an inspiring story can take control of the narrative.

Undecided women voters find JD's phrasing extremely off-putting. Jessica Reed Kraus, founder of the House Inhabit Substack, advised Planet Chronicle Digital that JD needs to fix his delivery to relay the messaging, or the Trump-Vance brand is doomed.

Rachael Dean Wilson, the managing director of the Alliance for Securing Democracy (ASD) at the German Marshall Fund and former adviser to the late Sen. John McCain stated that "dividing women along the lines of mothers vs. non-mothers is poisonous" and only "benefits" American adversaries.

She stated that dividing women into mothers and non-mothers through a campaign tit-for-tat is harmful to our communities and political discourse.

I urge women of all political backgrounds to resist the tribalism that attack lines promote on both sides. Although this is a domestic discussion, it's important to remember that deep domestic division and polarization benefit our enemies abroad and weaken the United States on the global stage.

Vance has made strides to move on from the past. Last week he traveled to the southern border and criticized the Biden administration's policies that have resulted in an increase in border crossings, contributing to rising violent and drug crime. He was a guest on the Full Send podcast, which targets a male, Gen-Z audience.

In an interview with "Fox and Friends," Usha Vance, wife to JD Vance, explained that her husband's "cat ladies" comment was a "joke meant to emphasize a significant point."

"I wish people would discuss important matters more often and spend less time on trivial phrases."

JD Vance claims that the "essence" of his remarks is that public policy in the country is "opposed to families."

In an interview with Megyn Kelly, Vance stated that the cat comment was sarcastic and he has no issue with cats or dogs. He has a dog at home and loves it.

"However, the focus is on the sarcasm rather than the substance of what was said, and the substance of what was said, I must say, is true. It is true that we have become anti-family. It is true that the left has become anti-child. It is simply true that it has become too difficult to raise a family," he stated.

Hannah Claire Brimelow, co-host of "Timcast IRL," concurs with Vance that leaders should have children because our values are passed down to the next generation, and having children alters one's perspective on their role in civic society.

The Harris campaign strategy of attacking Vance by bringing up a 2021 clip seems to indicate that they lack substantial criticism against him.

Vance is still playing defense two weeks after the cat got out of the bag, according to Vanessa Santos, president and CEO of Renegade DC, who says Vance "needs to take back control of the narrative."

The Harris campaign and the media are collaborating to maximize the attention and harm caused to Trump-Vance by the 'cat lady' news cycle. JD must regain control of the narrative by appearing on adversarial media, confronting dishonest journalists, and exposing their hypocrisy.

Santos stated that the media has whitewashed Kamala Harris' radical record, particularly her abandonment of her border czar position, and continues to accept her moderating positions.

JD's inspiring story and beautiful family have resonated with men and women alike, particularly with parents and young Gen Z voters who are concerned about the American dream being unattainable. Instead of focusing on the 'cat lady' media frenzy, she urged attacking Democrats on their harmful and destructive policies.

Vance's spokeswoman, Taylor Van Kirk, stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that Senator Vance is determined to reveal Kamala Harris's ineffective and risky liberal record in crucial swing states.

"Kamala Harris's policies resulted in crushing inflation, a crisis at our southern border, and rising crime, which is why her agenda is to make Americans less prosperous and less secure. Democrats are spreading false narratives about JD because they know their policies have been a disaster for American families," she stated.
