Trump will be sworn in on two Bibles, one given to him by his mother and the other used by Lincoln.
Former president used 2 Bibles, and President-elect Trump will follow suit.
During his inauguration on Monday, President-elect Donald Trump will hold two Bibles in his hands.
According to a press release from his inaugural committee, Trump will utilize his Bible, which he received from his mother in 1955, to commemorate his Sunday Church Primary School graduation at First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica, New York.
The 1953 revised standard version of the religious text, published by Thomas Nelson and Sons in New York, features Trump's name embossed on the front cover's lower portion. Additionally, inside the cover are signatures of church officials, an inscription of the president's name, and details of when it was presented to him.
The Lincoln Bible, first used in 1861 to swear-in the 16th U.S. president, will also be utilized in addition to the sentimental Bible.
"The burgundy velvet-bound book has been used only three times since its creation, specifically during President Obama's inaugurations and President Trump's first inauguration in 2017, according to Trump's team. The book is now part of the Library of Congress's collections."
In 2013, President Obama took the oath of office using two Bibles, one owned by Martin Luther King Jr. and the other the Lincoln Bible, according to the Associated Press.
On the federal holiday honoring Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy, Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, facing a bust of the revered civil rights leader within the Capitol's rotunda.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.
