Trump urges Republicans to quickly pass a strong bill for his approval.
Johnson has stated that the House intends to pass a substantial bill in early April.
Congressional Republicans should send President-elect Trump a "one powerful Bill" as soon as he takes office in the coming month.
In January, Republicans will regain the White House and maintain their majority in both chambers of Congress.
Trump declared on Truth Social that Congress is working on a powerful bill to revive the country and make it better than ever before. The bill will focus on securing the border, unleashing American energy, and renewing the Trump tax cuts, which were the largest in history. However, Trump promised to make it even better by eliminating taxes on tips.
Trump urged Republicans to unite and deliver historic victories for the American people by signing the bill as soon as possible, using tariffs and other measures to take advantage of countries that have exploited the U.S. for years.
During a Planet Chronicle Channel interview, House Speaker Mike Johnson stated that he believes Trump would prefer a "one big, beautiful bill."
Johnson stated that the measure, which aims to address multiple issues, will also address the debt ceiling, as he described it as "a big up or down vote that can save the country."
The lawmaker stated that lawmakers plan to hold a House vote in the first week of April, which could clear the chamber as soon as April 3 and proceed to the Senate before reaching Trump's desk by the end of April or Memorial Day in the worst-case scenario.
Last week, Johnson was retained as Speaker of the House after Trump backed him. With the exception of Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., all House Republicans voted for Johnson to remain in his position. Two Republicans who initially did not support Johnson ultimately changed their votes, giving him the win.
Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, has stated that the Senate will hinder efforts to reduce spending and decrease the size of government, and that public pressure will be necessary to overcome this obstacle.
Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are advocating for decreased government spending through the Department of Government Efficiency, which they are spearheading.
