'Trump threatens to fire every official involved in the 'Afghanistan disaster' on his first day in office.'
On Monday, Trump commemorated the 3rd anniversary of the Kabul suicide bombing that resulted in the deaths of 13 US service members in Detroit.
Trump vowed to demand the resignation of all officials responsible for the Afghanistan disaster on his first day back in office if he wins the presidency again.
On Inauguration Day, I will request the resignation of every senior official who was involved in the Afghanistan calamity, Trump stated to a crowd at the National Guard Association in Detroit.
Trump stated, "We never fire anyone. You have to fire them, like on 'The Apprentice.' You're fired. You did a lousy job," while referencing his reality TV series.
"You did a terrible, terrible disservice to our country. You get fired when that happens. Nobody got fired," Trump said of the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal. "Nobody ever gets fired in this administration. It's amazing, all the bad things that have happened. Nobody ever gets fired."
The suicide bombing at Hamid Karzai International Airport on Aug. 26, 2021, resulted in the deaths of 13 American service members and over 100 Afghans. Islamic State terrorists admitted responsibility for the attack.
Three years after her CNN interview, Vice President Kamala Harris's video discussing her role in the decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan is being circulated on social media.
Dana Bash, a CNN anchor, inquired, "Were you the last person in the room in Afghanistan?"
"Yes," Harris responded.
"Did Harris respond "I do" when Bash asked, "And you feel comfortable?""
In the CNN Presidential Debate, President Biden was criticized by Gold Star families for falsely stating that he is the "only president this century, this decade, that doesn't have any troops dying anywhere in the world."
Darin Hoover, father of the late Marine Staff Sgt. Darin Taylor Hoover, reacted strongly to Biden's claims during the debate.
In an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital in June, Hoover stated that the buffoon in the White House had the audacity to claim that no military members had died under his watch.
The father's response was characterized by anger and disgust, as he yelled back at the TV in frustration. Despite never acknowledging any of their names, he has never shown any recognition of their existence. Even today, he doubts that he knows their names.
The Biden administration sent the 13 Afghanistan Gold Star families letters a year after the attack, as stated by Hoover.
Hoover stated that all 13 families received a canned letter with the same message. The letter looked like a photocopy and was brief, stating that they were sorry for the death of their service member, with no additional information provided before or after.
In June, a White House spokesperson responded to Hoover's criticism by telling Planet Chronicle Digital that the president deeply cares about service members, their families, and the immense sacrifices they have made.
The spokesperson stated that our country will always be grateful to them for their ultimate sacrifice and that we will never be able to repay the debt we owe them.
Planet Chronicle Digital's Jasmine Baehr and Brian Flood contributed to this report.
