Trump shares a message on Twitter about his progress, in contrast to the Time Person of the Year cover featuring a mugshot.
Time magazine named the president-elect as their Person of the Year on Thursday.
On Friday, President-elect Trump shared a post on his Truth Social account featuring a photo of his 2023 mugshot alongside his Time magazine cover.
This week, Time magazine named Trump as their Person of the Year, featuring a cover and an extensive interview as he prepares for his second term in office.
In May 2023, a mugshot of Trump was taken at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta following his indictment on election racketeering charges.
In a ceremony following the announcement, Trump referred to it as an "honor."
"He thanked the whole group at Time for being really professional," he said.
After his first presidential victory in 2016, he was designated as the magazine's Person of the Year for the first time.
