Trump's rapid selection of Cabinet members underscores his commitment to putting America first, according to his transition team.
According to spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, Trump will continue to appoint individuals with the "required abilities to Make America Great Again."
President-elect Trump has announced over a dozen Cabinet picks a week after his election victory, emphasizing his dedication to putting "America first," as per his campaign's statement to Planet Chronicle Digital.
President Trump was re-elected by a significant margin, allowing him to fulfill his campaign promises and prioritize putting America first. Trump's Cabinet picks reflect his commitment to appointing highly qualified individuals with the necessary skills to help Make America Great Again, as stated by his transition spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, in an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital.
Trump won the election last week after securing electoral votes from toss-up states such as Pennsylvania and Georgia. He earned 312 electoral votes, winning all seven battleground states and the popular vote.
During his rally at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan last month, Trump's campaign slogans "America first" and "Make America Great Again" were prominent.
"We are on the brink of the greatest four years in U.S. history. With your help until Election Day, we will restore America's promise. We will put America first and reclaim our nation. We share the same blood, home, and flag, and we are one people, one family, and one glorious nation under God. We will never surrender, and we will fight until we win, win, win."
After winning the election, Trump announced his picks for his Cabinet, including Susie Wiles as his chief of staff, Dan Scavino as his deputy chief of staff, and Pete Hegseth as secretary of defense.
Earlier this week, Planet Chronicle Digital found that Trump has been announcing his picks at a faster pace than in 2016, when he was elected to his first term in the Oval Office, through emails to the media and supporters.
Trump appointed New York Rep. Elise Stefanik as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations on November 11, 2016. During the 2016 transition cycle, Trump announced then-Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina would serve as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations on November 23. Haley later ran unsuccessfully for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024.
He announced his choice of Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., to serve as his national security adviser, three days before his 2016 announcement for the same role, when he had picked former Army Gen. Mike Flynn about 10 days after Election Day.
Trump appointed former New York Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin to lead the Environmental Protection Agency, a choice he made on Dec. 7, 2016, after initially selecting Scott Pruitt for the role.
Susie Wiles was announced as Trump's first pick for chief of staff the day after the election, while Reince Priebus was named chief of staff five days after the 2016 election.
Susie is a tough, smart, innovative individual who is universally admired and respected. Trump praised her selection as the first-ever female Chief of Staff in United States history, stating that it is a well-deserved honor. He expressed confidence that she will make the country proud as she continues to work tirelessly to Make America Great Again.
On Wednesday, Trump visited Washington, D.C., and met with congressional Republicans before heading to the White House for a meeting with President Biden before returning to Florida.
During a brief portion of the meeting, Biden assured reporters that he was looking forward to a smooth transition and that they would do everything necessary to accommodate his needs.
Trump stated that "politics is challenging, and often it's not a pleasant environment, but it's a good world today."
Trump continued, "I appreciate the smooth transition very much. It will be as smooth as possible, and I greatly appreciate it."
Elon Musk and other high-profile officials joined Trump on his transition team and upcoming administration, including Wiles.
Trump announced on Tuesday evening that Musk and Ramaswamy will lead a new task force he is calling the Department of Government Efficiency.
The Great Elon Musk and American Patriot Vivek Ramaswamy will lead the Department of Government Efficiency ("DOGE") in the Trump Administration, with the goal of dismantling Government Bureaucracy, reducing regulations, cutting wasteful spending, and restructuring Federal Agencies as part of the 'Save America' Movement.
The Department of Government Efficiency will provide advice and guidance from outside of Government to drive drastic change, partnering with the White House and Office of Management & Budget to create an entrepreneurial approach to Government never seen before.
Trump is predicted to promptly reveal his Cabinet selections while he proceeds to establish his administration prior to January 20th. During his campaign, Trump vowed to "make America great again" for all voters, emphasizing the elimination of certain federal agencies, including the Department of Education.
