Trump's border czar, Tom Homan, discloses that ICE teams are currently apprehending individuals deemed "public safety threats."
After a leak, an operation in Chicago is being reassessed, according to Tom Homan's statement on Planet Chronicle.
On Tuesday, border czar Tom Homan announced that the mass deportation operation has begun, as the Trump administration aims to fulfill its promises to address the border crisis and reduce illegal immigration.
"As of today, Immigration and Customs Enforcement teams are out there, and we have given them direction to prioritize public safety threats," Homan stated on "America's Newsroom." "We have been working on the target list."
Homan stated that the priority in the operation is public safety, but he has consistently emphasized that no one is exempt from arrests if they are in the U.S. illegally.
"Illegal immigrants who have been convicted and arrested for serious crimes pose public safety threats, but it's not only them who will be arrested. In sanctuary cities, we cannot detain them in jail, so we must go to the neighborhood and find them."
If we find him, he may be with others. Unlike the previous administration, we won't instruct ICE officers not to arrest an illegal alien. As a result, if they find others, they will be arrested. This means that sanctuary cities will receive exactly what they don't want: more agents in their neighborhoods and more collateral arrests.
These are some of the areas that may require additional security measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The guidance issued on Monday was rescinded, and it was stated that common sense should be used instead.
"The memo advised law enforcement officers to use discretion and common sense while enforcing immigration laws, and it was not necessary for the head of the agency to establish strict rules regarding where immigration laws could be enforced."
