Trump meeting with Republican governors at Mar-a-Lago dinner.
Some GOP governors, including Ron DeSantis of Florida, Glenn Youngkin of Virginia, and Kim Reynolds of Iowa, are meeting with Trump.
On Thursday evening, a group of Republican governors will be dining with President-elect Trump at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida.
The gathering will take place a week and a half before the former and future president is inaugurated on January 20th and assumes the presidency of the White House.
Trump will have the opportunity to converse with GOP governors who are crucial to implementing his agenda in his second term, including his plan to deport immigrants with criminal records.
The dinner attendees include governors Ron DeSantis of Florida, Glenn Youngkin of Virginia, and Kim Reynolds of Iowa, as confirmed by Planet Chronicle.
After clashing with Trump during the 2024 GOP presidential nomination race, DeSantis reconciled with the former president after the primary season.
Trump received support from DeSantis, who also contributed funds to his general election campaign.
During the presidential primaries, DeSantis, a conservative, gained the support of Reynolds, a two-term governor, who endorsed him and served as his top surrogate during the Iowa caucuses, leading to Trump's ire.
"Reynolds is eager to meet with President Trump tonight at Mar-a-Lago and is prepared to assist in implementing his agenda of making America safer, wealthier, and greater."
Youngkin, who had considered running for president in 2024, joined forces with Trump during the general election campaign.
Politico was first to report on Trump's dinner with the governors.
