Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, invited President-elect Trump to visit the state to observe the devastation caused by wildfires, interact with affected individuals, and express gratitude to emergency responders.
On Friday, Trump received a message from the governor as fires persisted in certain areas of California.
Newsom urged against politicizing "human tragedy" and disseminating "disinformation."
We must not politicize human tragedy or spread disinformation from the sidelines. Hundreds of thousands of Americans, displaced from their homes and fearful for the future, deserve to see us working in their best interests to ensure a fast recovery and rebuild.

No comment was provided by Newsom's office when Planet Chronicle Digital requested comment on Saturday. Trump's camp also did not respond to a comment request.
Newsom has been criticized harshly by Trump, who has suggested that he should resign as governor.
The president-elect declared on Truth Social that one of the most beautiful parts of the United States is burning down to the ground. He added that Gavin Newscum should resign and that it is all his fault.
