Trump used social media to taunt the losing team.
President-elect Trump has proposed a new idea to unite the country by paying off the Democrats' debts.
Politico's Christopher Cadelago reports that the Harris-Walz campaign has a $20 million debt, despite raising over $1 billion and having $118 million in the bank as of Oct. 16.
Trump suggests that people should contribute to the vice president's campaign in the name of unity.
Trump wrote on Truth that he was surprised that the Democrats, who fought fiercely in the 2020 Presidential Election and raised a record amount of money, did not have a large surplus of funds left over.
To aid the individuals currently under pressure from vendors and others, I strongly suggest that we, as a Party, take action during this challenging time.
"Our biggest asset in the campaign was 'Earned Media,' which is our biggest asset, and it doesn't cost much. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Trump's campaign received a lot of free media coverage, which he attributes to his use of social media, giving interviews, and hosting rallies that generated their own news stories.
The Harris-Walz campaign spent $20 million, yet suffered a landslide defeat to the former president, who won all battleground states and the popular vote. Planet Chronicle Digital reached out to the campaign for confirmation but did not receive a response.
On Friday, the Washington Examiner released a report detailing how the Harris campaign spent its $1 billion campaign fund, with one specific expense sparking some controversy.
"In October, the Harris campaign spent six figures on constructing a set for her interview on the widely listened to "Call Her Daddy" podcast, hosted by Alex Cooper, according to The Examiner. The interview was reportedly filmed in a hotel room in Washington, D.C."
Despite failing to attract an audience of 1 million, the episode has garnered 822,000 views since its upload on Oct. 6, in comparison to Trump's Oct. 25 appearance on Rogan, which has over 47 million views on YouTube.
According to "Fox & Friends Weekend," the Harris campaign fundraiser, Lindy Li, stated that the campaign ended in a "miserable failure."
Li declared Saturday morning that the Harris campaign had resulted in an epic disaster, costing $1 billion.
The DNC member stated that she fundraised for the campaign under the assumption that the election would be a "margin of error race."
"I raised millions of dollars for the campaign, but now I have to explain to my accountable friends what happened because I told them it was a margin of error race. I was promised by Jen O'Malley Dillon, the Harris campaign chair, that Harris would win. She even put out videos saying so. I believed her, and so did my donors, who wrote massive checks."
Planet Chronicle’ Gabriel Hays and Alexander Hall contributed to this report.
