In Grand Rapids, Michigan, former President Donald Trump held his final rally on the 2024 campaign trail, marking the end of his trademark rallies.
"Your support is invaluable, and I can't believe this is my final rally. The rallies have been nothing short of spectacular, and they will never be replicated," Trump said to supporters at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Tuesday morning.
Trump concluded his 2024 campaign with visits to North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Michigan after a busy day.
Trump spoke to supporters at his last event on election day in his final pitch to be sent back to the White House, as the former president didn't take the stage in Grand Rapids until after midnight Tuesday.
In Grand Rapids, Michigan, Trump concluded his third campaign in the city, having previously ended his previous two campaigns at DeVos Place and the airport.
The swing state of Michigan was crucial for his White House bid, as both campaigns doubled the number of events and visits held there in 2016 and 2020.
In 2016, Trump won Michigan by a narrow margin against Hillary Clinton, but lost it to Biden in 2020. This year, Michigan is once again a critical battleground state, joining other key battlegrounds such as Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, in determining who will ultimately win the 2024 election.
During the Grand Rapids event, Trump, who has stated that this will be his final campaign regardless of the outcome against Vice President Kamala Harris, expressed gratitude to his supporters in Michigan for their unwavering support throughout his three presidential campaigns.
"You are truly remarkable individuals," Trump stated. "It has been nine years and we have been working together every step of the way."
