Top pro-life groups unveil plans for the second Trump administration amid allegations of 'abortion fearmongering'.
One pro-life leader advised Planet Chronicle Digital that the movement should take a more aggressive stance during the second Trump administration.
Pro-life activist groups are already preparing for a potential second term of President Donald Trump, according to Planet Chronicle Digital.
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA), a prominent pro-life organization in the US, has shared an exclusive memorandum with Planet Chronicle Digital outlining their plans and priorities for the upcoming administration. This document is intended to serve as a blueprint for pro-life victories in the future.
Despite Democrats spending $570 million on abortion advertising, Trump's victory suggests that the American people do not support the unrestricted abortion access advocated by Vice President Kamala Harris and many top Democrats.
The Democrats' campaign to stoke fear about abortion was a complete failure in the first presidential election since the overturning of Roe," the memo states. "At the same time, President Trump's pro-life stance resonated with voters.
Since 2016, no one has done better than rump in effectively portraying the Democrats as the true extremists on abortion, who support abortion even in the seventh, eighth, and ninth month of pregnancy, and who refuse to provide basic medical care to children who survive attempted abortions.
""What should be done after achieving victory?" the memo inquires."
The Biden-Harris administration's abortion policies must be immediately reversed by the Trump administration.
"The accomplishments of President Trump's first term serve as the benchmark for his second term. However, in order to reach this benchmark, much must be undone from the Biden-Harris administration, which actively promoted abortion throughout the federal government."
Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA, announced that her organization will advocate for the removal of tax funding for abortion during the first 100 days of the Trump administration through various government agencies, including Defense and Health and Human Services, as well as through grants to groups like Planned Parenthood.
Dannenfelser advised the Trump administration to clarify the resources and options available to women who do not wish to have an abortion during the first 100 days. Additionally, she suggested that Trump reinstate the "Mexico City Policy" which prohibits the government from promoting or funding abortion internationally.
Although Dannenfelser acknowledged that national abortion limits are not a priority for her, she did not remove them from consideration.
This week, seven states passed amendments that enshrine abortion into their state law, significantly expanding abortion in those states. This was preceded by similar amendments being passed by voters in California, Ohio, Michigan, and Vermont.
Dannenfelser stated that although Americans are not prepared to embrace the complete safeguarding of all unborn life after 50 years under Roe v. Wade, she still believes there should be a minimum standard of protection for the unborn throughout the country.
To effectively combat the abortion industry in the long run, the Republican Party must reinforce its pro-life, pro-woman, and pro-family stance, with the right to life for the unborn child being the foundation of this belief.
The pro-life movement's job in the next few years is to advance the cultural conversation about minimum standards for protecting unborn life, as stated by Dannenfelser.
She highlighted Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as an example of a leader who effectively engages in and promotes cultural discussions about abortion.
Since the overturn of Roe v. Wade, Florida, along with South Dakota and Nebraska, was the first group of states to successfully pass any anti-abortion legislation.
Dannenfelser stated that DeSantis' leadership demonstrated the key to achieving pro-life victories.
"She acknowledged that it's happening and then attacked extremism, while DeSantis demonstrated that taking a strong stance can overcome predictions and defeat the initiative."
Since Trump's victory, SBA is not the only pro-life group mobilizing. Students for Life of America (SFLA) has also developed a plan titled "Make America Pro-Life Again" that includes both federal and state actions.
In the early days of the administration, Hawkins stated that SFLA would prioritize four key policies: 1) Appointing pro-life officials to federal agencies such as the Department of Health and Human Services, FDA, and DOJ, 2) Releasing pro-life activists imprisoned under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, 3) Completely defunding Planned Parenthood, and 4) Investigating the harmful chemicals used by chemical abortion pills.
Like Dannenfelser, Hawkins conceded that it is unlikely for federal abortion restrictions to be enacted soon, despite her commitment to advocating for them.
She suggested that Trump's top priority on his first day in office should be to cut funding for Planned Parenthood.
"Abortion is 100% federal, and the pro-life movement is clear about this. The right to not be killed because of inconvenience should not be limited to state lines. While we disagree with President Trump on this issue, we can work with him if he defunds and debars Planned Parenthood first."
The possibility of a Supreme Court justice retiring or passing away is a significant factor behind both Dannenfelser and Hawkins' plans. While neither disclosed their potential Supreme Court nomination support, Hawkins predicted that Trump would appoint justices who would uphold the rights of the unborn, as he had done before.
"In 2015 and 2016, we requested that President Trump nominate a Supreme Court justice who would not be an abortion activist, but a constitutionalist who would understand the Constitution. We expect the same request to be made in 2025 or whenever that happens in this administration. One of the things that is not in the Constitution is the right to end the life of an inconvenient human child."
