The city officials in Boston have remained mostly quiet regarding the string of sexual offenses committed against their residents.
Recently, there has been an increase in the number of illegal migrants being arrested for sexual offenses in Massachusetts. This is due to the state and city of Boston's decision to oppose President-elect Trump's plan to deport large numbers of people.

The Boston City Council unanimously voted to reaffirm a 2019 measure restricting Boston police's ability to cooperate with ICE in deporting illegal migrants, which aims to protect immigrant communities from "unjust enforcement actions" and restricts Boston police's ability to cooperate with ICE and bans police from keeping migrants in custody for possible deportation unless there is a criminal warrant.
Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey has pledged that state police will not assist Trump in the mass deportations operation.
A spokesperson for Healey stated that as a former prosecutor and attorney general, the governor believes violent criminals should be deported, refuting the claim that Massachusetts is a "sanctuary state."
Boston officials have remained mostly quiet on the string of sex crimes committed against city residents. Neither Mayor Michelle Wu, a Democrat, nor the Boston City Council responded to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
