The Trump team responds after a Democratic senator announces that the struggle is far from over.
Trump's nominees were accused of being 'malignly motivated' by Sen. Blumenthal.
On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris oversaw the certification of the 2024 presidential election results. However, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., stated in a post on Tuesday that the political fight was just beginning.
Since 2011, Blumenthal has been a senator and he stated that Trump's nominees are not qualified and have "malign motives."
The senator declared in a post on X that although the Electoral Count is complete, the fight is just beginning due to Trump's plans for blanket pardons, unqualified and maliciously motivated nominees, and normalization of election denial.
Karoline Leavitt, Trump's White House press secretary, stated on Tuesday that it's time to put an end to Trump Derangement Syndrome, as she expressed on Planet Chronicle Digital.
President Trump's policies to secure the border, end inflation, and restore world peace are supported by the American people, and he will collaborate with anyone on Capitol Hill to solve these issues and achieve results, she stated.
On Tuesday, Planet Chronicle Digital contacted Blumenthal's office to request a comment from the senator, but no response was received.
On his first day back in office, Trump is expected to pardon individuals linked to the January 6th incident, as he stated on "Meet the Press" that the cases would be reviewed and exceptions could be made for those deemed "radical" or "crazy."
Trump questioned whether the pardon given by Biden to his son Hunter included the J-6 hostages, who have been imprisoned for years, on Truth Social.
In a March 2024 post, Trump stated that freeing "January 6 Hostages being wrongfully imprisoned" would be one of his top priorities as president.
Blumenthal tweeted on Monday that pardoning any convicted Jan 6 rioter, especially those who attacked police officers, would shame them and threaten democracy.
