On Saturday afternoon, Trump, the newly elected president, boarded a special Air Force plane for his return to Washington, D.C.

The family of Trump, consisting of Trump, his wife Melania, and their youngest son Barron, departed from West Palm Beach, Florida, and greeted onlookers before climbing the steps to the U.S. Capitol.

In a few hours, they arrived in Sterling, Virginia, for an evening reception and fireworks show hosted by Trump at Trump National Golf Club.

Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner accompanied the president on the Air Force Special Air Mission plane.

"Over the past decade, we have been engaged in a relentless struggle, marked by numerous protests, media appearances, legal documents, and extended courtroom sessions. Despite the continuous assaults on my family, business, and staff, we have endured slander, false reporting, home invasions, and a myriad of attempts to destroy us."

Lara, Luke, and Carolina, his immediate family, accompanied him on the trip to D.C.

Eric Trump stated that every ounce of his struggle has been for the sake of his children and the future of their generation. He concluded by saying, "This time, America emerged victorious."

"We accomplished our goal despite the odds—together, with the remarkable individuals of this country and the greatest political movement in history," Eric Trump stated. "I have never been more proud of anyone than I am of [Donald Trump]. He displayed unwavering courage, truly embodying the strength of steel. Our nation is now in capable hands. The chaos has ended. America is entering a period of revival."

On Sunday, Trump will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery and hold a "Make America Great Again" rally, concluding with a candlelit dinner.

At noon on Monday, the inauguration will occur in the Capitol Rotunda, as the frigid temperatures in the area necessitate the change of time. Trump, the second president in history to win non-consecutive terms, will deliver his inaugural address.

Thousands of protesters gathered in Washington, D.C., on Saturday to demonstrate against the Trump family's departure.

The "People's March," originally known as the "Women’s March," had three meeting points, each advocating for a distinct cause.

The alternative version of the input sentence is: "The speaker discussed gender justice, democracy, immigration, and local Washington issues."

According to Planet Chronicle Digital, demonstrators carried posters that read "Feminists v. Fascists" and "People over politics."
