The Trump administration will demonstrate strength against China, which Rep Gimenez warns is the greatest threat to the US.

Rep. Carlos Gimenez, a member of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), stated that China poses the "greatest threat" to the United States and that President-elect Donald Trump will achieve "peace through strength, not peace through appeasement."

R-Fla. Gimenez stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that the CCP is the "military and economic adversary we must closely monitor."

"Gimenez stated that China is making significant progress globally, particularly in production, specifically with defense materials and weapons. He noted that China's capacity surpasses that of the United States, and this has become evident."

The Russian-Ukraine war has shown us that our defense capabilities have weakened over time, according to Gimenez.

"If we were to have a prolonged fight with China, we could run out of munitions quickly, as China has the capability to produce more ships than we do, he cautioned."

Gimenez said the U.S. is "trying to do catch-up."

"To protect ourselves better, we need to update our methods at the Pentagon, become more agile, involve the private sector, and eliminate bureaucracy that has hindered our effectiveness," he stated.

Gimenez criticized the Biden administration, particularly President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, for their approach to the China threat.

""The Biden administration was always exhibiting weakness and trying to appease our enemies, whereas Trump knows exactly who our friends are, who our enemies are and is going to put the security of America first," he said."

Gimenez stated, "The security of America is based on strength, not appeasement."

Gimenez emphasized the significance of the U.S. achieving energy independence in dealing with the threat in the upcoming months.

Gimenez stated his goal to become "the world's energy hub," with America being the primary source of energy for other countries.

Helping our friends and weakening our enemies would improve our financial situation and balance sheet, he stated.

"We can utilize our energy dominance as an economic weapon against our adversaries, benefiting our allies and harming our enemies," he stated. "We can replace Iranian and Venezuelan oil with American oil, Russian oil with American oil, and then deprive those countries that are aligned with China of their primary source of income and hinder their ability to aid China."

""If China is isolated in the world, that's the best way to contain the threat, but we must project strength and the willingness to confront aggression by the CCP," he said."

He stated that the House Select Committee on the CCP has "more work to do."

"He stated that the China threat is intensifying, as the committee, being bipartisan, has members on both sides of the aisle who believe that China is a threat and will remain a threat."

"China is the threat, not climate change," he stated. "We must confront this threat or live in a world ruled by the Chinese Communist Party."

"Trump will demonstrate strength by following through on his words."
