The 'ice princess' demeanor of Harris and Bush's belly-tap were significant at Jimmy Carter's funeral, according to an expert.
Barack Obama's belly was touched by George Bush, causing a viral sensation.
In the 2024 election cycle, it seemed that there was no animosity between President-elect Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama.
At Jimmy Carter's funeral, Biden and Trump seemed to be enjoying each other's company and largely ignored other dignitaries, including Vice President Harris and President Biden.
Susan Constantine, a communication and body language expert, stated that Harris appeared "completely calm and collected."
"She was very robotic while walking, with a soldier-like stance that I call 'rigidity,' which is reminiscent of the character in 'Ice Princess.'"
Harris avoided eye contact with Trump, indicating her disdain. Her tightened lips and tense facial expression revealed the lack of love between the two 2024 contenders.
"She walked past him with a stride of arrogance and confidence, which did not suit her well," Constantine said. "It tells me that she walked in there with a chip on her shoulder."
Laura Bush, the former First Lady, seemed quieter than usual at the event.
Constantine remarked that Mrs. Bush is known for her outgoing personality, but she did not greet the Trumps or Obama to her left.
Constantine remarked that he believed the woman he was referring to was always stunning, articulate, and had a genuine smile, giving her the benefit of the doubt. He added that he saw Bush glance over her right shoulder briefly to make eye contact, which could have been with Al Gore or the Quayles.
Barack Obama's jovial conversation and gesticulations with Trump stood out to Constantine.
"They add rapport. There was no doubt about it."
"President Obama would lean forward to listen to Trump's words, as Trump always stood forward and was ready to engage. Despite their differences, the two men felt comfortable with one another, which may have made the rest of the presidential attendees feel uncomfortable."
During the somber event, it seemed like Trump was discussing something that Obama wished to postpone the conversation about.
Obama seemed to receive a "thumb shrug" from Trump, as if to inquire about his thoughts on the matter.
Constantine stated that Obama's furrowed brow and neutral expression indicated he was attentively listening, but the men were engaged in an intense discussion.
According to the New York Post, a lip-reader believed the two were discussing "international agreements," which would necessitate sensitivity.
Constantine stated that Gore's actions of being the first to stand and greet Trump, as well as others, indicate respect and his status as a "perfect gentleman."
Gore shook hands with Trump, despite neither member of the second family under President George H.W. Bush standing up.
The longtime Democrat likely put politics aside when greeting the Republican president-elect, she said.
The "belly tap" of Obama by George W. Bush was circulated on X following the ceremony.
Tapping someone on the stomach is where all emotions are located. Touching that area is a personal zone, and one must feel comfortable with the relationship to do so. She spoke about Bush, who had a civil relationship with the man who repeatedly criticized him in 2008.
Vice President Dan Quayle was playfully swatted by Bush with his bulletin as he took his seat.
It could be a sign that Bush was uncomfortable, or simply a less intimate or playful greeting.
The Clintons and Bidens conspicuously failed to acknowledge the other dignitaries present, as Hillary Clinton displayed her signature "incredulous" expression, according to Constantine.
You can observe the dimples on both sides of Hillary's mouth when she makes an incredulous expression.
When people attend funerals, they typically behave differently and greet everyone, regardless of past disagreements. This mindset may have influenced the interactions observed on Thursday.
According to expert witness Jeremy Freeman, who is a forensic lip reader, Trump seemed to suggest to Obama that they should discuss a crucial matter in a private setting.
Trump stated at one point, according to Freeman, that he had withdrawn from that situation due to the conditions.
Obama was reportedly contacted by Trump after the funeral mass to discuss the issue or issues further.
As soon as the spark occurred, the two men's tone changed, with Trump previously joking about Obama being a Muslim and addressing him by his full name, Hussein.
Obama has made fun of Trump's private parts during the 2024 campaign, using a joke about crowd sizes and gesturing with his hands a few inches apart.
He compared Trump's stump speeches to Fidel Castro's rambling, hourslong diatribes.
In October, during a speech in Allegheny County, Pa., Obama remarked, "You have the two-hour speeches, the word salad. It’s like Fidel Castro over and over again."
