The Department of Government Efficiency will have all actions made public online, as per Elon Musk's statement: "Transparency."
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will have a leaderboard for the "most insanely dumb spending of your tax dollars," as stated by Musk.
On Tuesday, Elon Musk, who was appointed by President-elect Donald Trump to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, provided some insight on X regarding the department's operations.
The government will consider feedback from everyday Americans on how their tax dollars are spent, as stated by Musk.
"If the public suspects that we are not cutting something important or are wasting resources, please inform us," Musk stated in the X post.
Musk stated that all department actions would be made transparent by posting them online.
"We will also have a leaderboard for the most insanely dumb spending of your tax dollars. This will be both extremely tragic and extremely entertaining," he wrote.
Trump announced on Tuesday that the new department's goal is to eliminate government red tape, reduce unnecessary spending, and streamline federal agencies.
"The administration will receive advice and guidance from "DOGE" on implementing large-scale structural reforms, with partnerships from the White House and the Office of Management and Budget."
Both Musk and Ramaswamy, successful entrepreneurs, have been firm in their determination to reduce the government's debt, which currently stands at $35 trillion, by cutting unnecessary spending.
Musk stated that this would cause ripples throughout the system, and many individuals involved in government waste would be affected.
Ramswamy stated that he and Musk would not accept their new roles quietly after Trump's announcement.
Trump's administration has recently welcomed Musk and Ramaswamy as its latest members, following a period of intense activity marked by numerous appointments.
The latest nominations for key cabinet positions include South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem for Homeland Security secretary, Planet Chronicle' Pete Hegseth for defense secretary, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as ambassador to Israel, and John Ratcliffe for CIA director.
