The 2024 popular vote count for President-elect Trump has exceeded the 2020 election numbers.
Some states have not yet finished tallying their votes.
According to The Associated Press, President-elect Trump's 2024 vote totals have surpassed his total vote count from 2020.
Despite certain states like California and Arizona still tabulating votes, Trump's popular vote total in 2021 has already surpassed his 2020 total of 74,223,975.
The AP reports that California has only counted 63% of its votes as of 5 p.m. ET, while Maryland, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, and Alaska have not yet finished counting their votes.
It is uncertain when these states will complete their vote counts, with approximately 5 million votes still outstanding.
According to The Associated Press, Trump won the election with 301 Electoral College votes, while Harris received 226.
In the 2016 election, although Trump did not receive the most votes nationwide, he still secured 304 Electoral College votes, surpassing Hillary Clinton's 227.
Trump's ability to achieve his policy goals in his second term will be enhanced by the projected GOP majorities in both chambers of Congress, as well as his victory in the presidency.
