Season winner and other 'Apprentice' alumni express gratitude towards Trump in the election's final days.
A group of 11 alumni wrote a letter in response to six former 'Apprentice' contestants who publicly supported Kamala Harris.
Eleven former contestants on "The Apprentice" have publicly endorsed Donald Trump for president, in opposition to a group of alumni who have declared their support for Kamala Harris.
Kendra Todd, the winner of Season 3, led the letter's creation, stating that the signers felt obligated to reply to the Harris letter after their fellow contestants claimed they had spoken to numerous other contestants to verify their observations of Trump's character.
"These contestants' attacks on Donald Trump using the platform he provided them are both disappointing and shameful. Is this the gratitude he deserves for revolutionizing our lives?"
Todd, a former contestant on the show who is now a real estate broker, shared with Planet Chronicle Digital that he was most troubled by how the show claimed to have spoken with many of the former contestants and believed they represented the majority of the cast. However, Todd stated that he does not believe this to be true.
A letter backing Harris, obtained by Politico, was signed by five individuals, including four contestants, a producer, and a casting manager.
The signers reported that they had the opportunity to observe Trump in person and perceived him as a personification of charisma and salesmanship.
"Our close-up encounters with Donald exposed his divisive, self-interested, and erratic leadership style, as well as his fragile ego. We witnessed his demand for one-way loyalty, his broken promises, his willingness to lie and take advantage of people, and his virulent reactions to criticism."
The letter advocated for a leader who is focused on a positive, problem-solving future for America.
"We will vote for Vice President Kamala Harris on November 5th because America requires genuine leadership rather than exceptional TV editing skills."
Todd expressed his view that Planet Chronicle Digital's coverage of him was a betrayal of their treatment of his character and their disingenuity in taking advantage of the opportunity he gave them.
"Todd stated that they filmed the video 20 years ago, and they have known the man for a long time. However, nothing in the letter aligns with the man they know. As a result, they felt it necessary to come out publicly and clarify that their statement does not represent the majority opinion of those who were on the show. They are grateful for the opportunity and the contributions the man has made to their country. They stand in support of Donald Trump."
The Apprentice debuted in 2004. It ran for 15 seasons.
