RNC delegates and guests discuss the possibility of Biden not running for president in 2024.
Biden is reportedly contemplating whether to run for president in 2024 amid growing pressure to step aside.
Attendees of the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Wisconsin are discussing the possibility of President Biden not running for re-election in 2024 based on recent reports.
Multiple RNC attendees outside Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, where the convention is being held, told Planet Chronicle Digital that they believe Biden will eventually abandon his re-election campaign, but it won't make a significant difference when the final vote count is tallied.
"One attendee stated that they believed former President Trump would easily defeat anyone put up against him, as it appeared that Biden was on his way out of office."
"I believe their bench is currently weak and shallow, regardless of who they have."
Another attendee expressed satisfaction after predicting months ago that Biden wouldn't win the Democratic presidential nomination.
"He stated that while Saturday may have slightly altered the situation, he believed it was unlikely. He mentioned the failed assassination attempt against Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania. He added that the globalists had a mission and no longer cared about Joe Biden. In his opinion, it didn't matter who they ran, and he believed they had no chance of winning a legitimate election at this point."
Some predicted that Biden would drop out of the race, but others expressed hope he would stay in or believed that Democrats couldn't afford to remove him so close to the election.
She stated that they were betting on him and constantly boasting about their lead in the polls, so they must continue to support him all the way. She believed it would be disastrous if they changed course now.
Another person stated, "I believe he comprehends and his fellow citizens understand that he must withdraw. As a result, I think he will. However, I am unsure who will replace him, and I hope it won't be Kamala."
One attendee stated that it would be "totally fine" if Vice President Harris, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, or former first lady Michelle Obama were nominated as the party's candidate. "The people are realizing that the party is no longer the people's party. It doesn't matter."
After his Wednesday convention speech, Ohio Sen. JD Vance was praised by the attendees for being "empathetic," "high energy," and "relatable."
According to sources familiar with the matter, Reuters reported on Thursday that Biden is now "soul-searching" about the future of his candidacy. Meanwhile, NBC News reported a source close to the president as saying, "We’re close to the end."
After reporting from the Washington Post that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned Biden of losing and furthering the House of Representatives under Republican control, as well as former President Obama advising his allies that Biden should reconsider his candidacy.
