Republican lawmakers respond to predicted Trump win: "Welcome back"
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene stated that "Donald Trump has been elected President for a third time."
On Wednesday, reactions emerged as Republican lawmakers celebrated the projected victory of former President Donald Trump in the closely-watched 2024 presidential race.
Sen. Mike Lee of Utah tweeted that America didn't want what Kamala was selling and joked that Ukraine's electoral votes weren't enough to help Kamala in another post.
"Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida tweeted that Trump had hardworking everyday Americans, and that they won."
Before winning the 2016 White House election, Trump lost his re-election bid in 2020.
On Wednesday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia asserted that Donald Trump has been elected President for a third time.
Greene declared on X that she was thrilled as America would no longer tolerate the communist regime, which was tearing apart the border, turning kids trans, and promoting abortion as reproductive rights. The American people were tired of a government that was weaponized. President Trump was returning to the White House.
Rep. Kat Cammack of Florida cheered the projected victory of Trump, exclaiming, "Yes! Yes! Yes! Let's gooo!"
"Welcome back, Mr. President!" tweeted Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama.
"Welcome back, 47," Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona wrote.
"Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina praised Trump and his team, stating that tonight's event is about bringing peace and prosperity both domestically and internationally. He acknowledged the challenges ahead and commended Trump's efforts. Graham concluded by inviting the president to join him on the golf course."
The Senate was projected to be won by Republicans, according to the Planet Chronicle Decision Desk.
