POTUS Trump attends multiple Inaugural Balls in DC following a busy first day in office.
Trump attended three events at the convention center and one at Union Station.
On Monday night, President Donald Trump arrived at the Commander-in-Chief Ball at around 10 PM ET and danced with first lady Melania Trump during his first of three ball appearances.
Trump was introduced by an emcee at the Walter Washington Convention Center in Mount Vernon Square, D.C., shortly after the band played "Americans, We."
The event is geared toward service members.
Trump and Melania danced to a contemporary version of "Battle Hymn of the Republic" for their first dance.
The Union Army's "Potomac" song served as a call to arms, while the Confederate Army's "Dixie" was its counterpart.
Trump declared the election a "great victory" and attributed his success to his bond with the American people.
At the military-themed ball, he commended his Pentagon chief nominee Pete Hegseth.
Trump attended three balls in total, including one at the National Mall and two others at the Washington Convention Center and Union Station.
The Liberty Ball was sandwiched between the Commander-in-Chief Ball and the Starlight Ball.
The Liberty Ball, unlike the Commander-in-Chief ball, is aimed at Trump supporters and will feature a wide range of performers, including country singer Jason Aldean, rapper Nelly, and the Village People.
At the convention center, Trump danced with Mrs. Trump at the Liberty Ball.
The Trump family, Vice President JD Vance, and Second Lady Usha Vance danced to "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers on stage.
Trump stated to the Liberty Ball audience that the day had been "an incredible day."
The day was filled with numerous events, such as President Trump's formal swearing-in ceremony, an inaugural parade at Capital One Arena, an Oval Office signing ceremony, and many more.
On January 6th, Trump signed a series of executive orders concerning border security, diversity, equity and inclusion, energy and the climate, and the federal workforce.
During his first day in office in 2017, President Trump signed fewer orders than the number signed by the previous president, Biden, on his first day in office.
The Liberty Ball will feature a variety of Trump supporters, including musical performances, in addition to Trump's address.
